Was thinking of having a revamp of the blog

I’ve been using the current template for quite a while now and while i think it’s very geeky cool it’s quite heavy, not to everyone’s taste and isn’t 100% user friendly

If you consume this site via RSS feeds you probably have no idea what I’m talking about!

If you do read the blog could you give me some feedback about the theme please?

Should I leave it as it is or try something fresh?

If I make changes what would you like to see?

    Thanks in advance!

    1. It is quite cool but heavy on the eyes. When I first saw it I thought it was one of those annoying pop up boxes. :-)

    2. The other thing I meant to add was when you have screenshots within posts it starts to look at bit overwhelming as to what are posts and what are shots. The Sharepoint post as an example.

    3. Thanks Becky

      Exactly what I’m looking for

I take your point about pictures

One of the things I’ve realised is that because it’s quite a narrow theme I have to be careful about images not fitting properly.

    4. I prefer quite a clean theme myself – white background and few icons. Plus, I’d have a picture of yourself rather than an anonymous picture. Just IMO. :-)

    5. For what its worth, I am looking for a new theme too. But you know my style, I like mine pretty much barebones almost :)

The reason why I didn’t change my theme before now is that most themes did not work well with my sponsored ciao box, but its nearly the end of April and they still have not contacted me about a contract renewal, so I reckon they will not be renewing in which case I can get rid of the box and use whatever theme I want.

    6. I still have not worked out how to get my picture onto comments

    7. Hey becky

Goto http://en.gravatar.com and sign up for an account

It’ll then work with any site that supports Gravatar, it’s owned by WordPress nowadays so that also means any wordpress site!

    8. Cheers Rich

I didn’t intentionally not have a profile picture….i just thought the one I’m currently using was massively geeky

Point taken though, maybe I’ll get Bryony to take a decent picture of me to use with a new theme
